Since its birth RCGLD has always valued extending its international relationships. Deeming the importance of reaching a global view of many scientific challenges and the value of international collaboration in this challenge, RCGLD strives to expand its international links in the following fields:
- Scientist-scientist, researcher-researcher and student-student exchange, in order to increase their experience and competence in different research fields especially biomedicine, biotechnology, and research administration and health sciences.
- Mutual research projects, especially large population based studies where the Iranian 70 million population with its ethnic diversity can serve as a good sample source and also prove useful in comparative studies, to elucidate future health interventions.
- Bilateral Ph.D. and Ms. programs with overseas universities and research institutes considering RCGLD's Bed and Bench policy that aims at training competent physician scientists in close future.
At present our main international collaboration counterparts are:
- American Academy of Science
- Karolinska Institute (Sweden)
- International Union Against Cancer (UICC)
- Russian Academy of Medicine
