"IBD Scientific Group" is a research group of the Research Center for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases(RCGLD) of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS) in Tehran, Iran.

The "IBD Scientific Group" of RCGLD was primarily established on January 2001 under supervision of Professor Zali MD,FACG.

Different projects on clinical presentations, genetic backgrounds and risk factors of lower GI diseases and many other aspects are being assessed in this group.

All of our research projects are under direct supervision of a fellowship of gastroenterology of SBUMS, who in turn is in direct contact with the SBUMS professors as research managers.

This group pays special attention to education programs for both patients and physicians. We also welcome collaboration and exchange of knowledge with all research centers throughout the world.
